Summary/Abstract: This paper advocates new way of improvement of cooperation between private and public sector by creating strategic plans for integration of urban (existing) and rural tourist products, with an application of the principles of sustainable development, in order to form a unique tourist itinerary. Repositioning of existing urban products by linking with new rural products will result in creation of competitive tourist products, which concurrently include the less valorised areas.
