Summary/Abstract: The paper summarizes and analyses the ideas of Slavica Jakelić, which she presented in the book Collectivistic Religions; Religion, Choice, and Identity in Late Modernity. The author questions the meaning of being religious in a modern way, link between religious and national identities and (particularly) how to understand collectivist religions in specific contexts.
