Psychological Well-Being and Its Role in Human Life

Summary/Abstract: The purpose of this article is to characterize the concept of psychological well-being and the conditions of its implementation in the life of the individual. The components that constitute the concept of well-being will be analyzed, in contrast to the wider notion of welfare, as well as an ‘onion’ theory of happiness (by Janusz Czapińskiego) will be presented.
