Summary/Abstract: This paper refers mainly to the issue of the so-called Warsaw land, which on 21 November 1945 were passed to the Treasury, by the decree of 26 October 1945 on Ownership and Usufruct of Land in the Area of the Capital City of Warsaw. Amendments to the Civil Code and the Administrative Procedure Code have made significant changes in the pursuit of claims for damages. The paper also presents the manner of claiming for damages according to the legal regulations that were binding before 1 September 2004, as well as at the time after the amendments to the Civil Code and the Administrative Procedure Code. The regards were also enriched by the current case law
