Summary/Abstract: The problem of old age and aging are interdisciplinary issues that are the subject of discourse at the level of many scientific disciplines. This is due to the fact that people are aging not only in biological terms but also in psychological and social terms. What is more, along with the process of broadly understood modernization and urbanization of societies, the phenomenon of old age ceased to be exclusively a personal matter of man and became an important issue concerning entire human communities.
