Summary/Abstract: The present paper investigates the main reasons that generated the lack of financial resources for hospitality industry development. The lack of strategy at the central authorities level, the private investors’ attitude, the lack of transparency, corruption and a lot more factors are present and cast a dark shadow over the tourist potential Romania have.
