Summary/Abstract: On 17th November 1991 the parliament in Skopje voted the Republic of Macedonia to be separated from the territory of Socialist Federal Republic of Yugoslavia. Two months later - on 15th January 1992 the R of Bulgaria was the first state in the world to recognize the independence of the new Balkan country.
