Summary/Abstract: In the process of European integration, Bosnia and Herzegovina has to achieve progress in all fields of social development, including education. On the other hand, the process of educational adaptation to contemporary social circumstances is still ongoing in the European Union itself, and it is carried by the idea of a European dimension in education. European dimension implies acquisition of knowledge, values and principles that should strengthen the European identity in young people, but also prepare them for active participation in harmonization and development of a united European society. Geography is one of the most important school subjects in this context, because it can provide a multidimensional representation of Europe. This paper contains a historic review of the development of a European dimension in education, an explanation of why Geography is significant for it and an analysis of Geography textbooks in the educational system of Bosnia and Herzegovina. Because of the domestic educational system complexity, which is a result of political complexity, the analysis had to cover at least three Geography textbooks. This is the only way to reach an answer to the question: is there a single perspective of the European dimension in education in Bosnia and Herzegovina?
