APPLYING EU LEGISLATION REGARDING DETENTION WITHIN THE CRIMINAL LAW

Summary/Abstract: As recommended by the European institutions, at European level efforts should be undertaken to strengthen mutual trust and increase efficiency of the mutual recognition principle in the field of detention. Also, efforts should be pursued to promote the exchange of best practices and the implementation of the European Prison rules should be encouraged and promoted by all EU Member States.
