Summary/Abstract: The article includes a broad analysis of both the substantive and the territorial competence of the court on applications for judicial division. Furthermore, it includes a presentation of the legal remedies which are available, after which the analysis starts focusing on the principal issue in resolving the petition for inheritance, namely the proof of legal heirship or testamentary heirship. Lastly, it presents a few elements of comparative law on evidence.
