Structural Features of Comparative Conditional Clauses and Complex Sentences in the Language of Govsi Tabrizi

Summary/Abstract: Linguistic facts in the poems of the outstanding representative of the XVII century Azerbaijani literature Govsi Tabrizi gives us rich material for the identification of lexical and grammatical features of the literary language of that period. From this point of view the study of structural features of conditional clauses and comparative complex sentence used in the language of Govsi Tabrizi is very important. The comparative analysis of those sentences with the sentences in modern Azerbaijani language, as well as the ways of the connection of the subordinate clause to the main sentence are investigated in the article. The author also tries to provide more complete information about the syntactic pattern of the Azerbaijan literary language XVII century.
