Summary/Abstract: This study aims to examine the concept of "consumer" in the light of existing legal definitions mainly in Romanian law, in order to crystallize the scope of this concept which, unfortunately, is susceptible to various interpretations of doctrine. The importance of this analysis is obvious, clarifying aspects of incomplete or unclear on the meaning of the concept of the consumer being the answer to general practitioners and theorists alike: Who is the beneficiary of law belonging to this new branch of law - for the consumer? A single answer to this question will certainly lead to a correct application of regulations specific to the consumer.
