Summary/Abstract: An employee who feels secure himself in an organization that he works and who is aware of the fact that he is supported by his organization takes a positive attitude towards his organization and sees himself as a part of it. Organizational commitment is an expression of a strong relationship that an employee establishes with an organization in which he works. Whistleblowing is the disclosure of the wrongdoings that take place in the organization by an employee who is a part of this organization. Actually, whistleblowing has many outcomes both in terms of an organization and an employee. The impact of whistleblowing on organizational commitment constitutes a significant part of the discussion related to this issue. In general, it is acknowledged that this action does not have any negative influence on organizational commitment and whistleblower should be protected. It is also important to remember that one of the most significant features of whistleblowing is that it must be done with purely good intentions without considering the personal interests. The evaluation of how whistleblowing is understood and how it is perceived in terms of organizational commitment is the basis of this work. For this purpose, an area survey was conducted on the personnel working in the provincial municipalities in Turkey, and the employees' organizational commitment and whistleblowing perceptions were tried to be determined.
