Summary/Abstract: Good governance is not possible without democracy and public participation, while the state governed by the rule of law has a decisive role in democratization. Since Romania is still in a democratic transition, the revision of its Constitution is necessary to allow for the global reforms needed to consolidate the liberal democracy to which it aspires.
