Summary/Abstract: The reportanalyses the procedural status of the court as the main subject in criminal procedure. An emphasis has been placed on several of the most significant characteristics of the court’s procedural activity in the two phases of criminal procedure, also in view of the central role of court proceedings. The competences of the court have been compared to the ones of the other state procedural bodies.
