Determination of products and external markets prioritized for the government support of agrifood export and production

Summary/Abstract: Categorization methods for markets and goods by their export potential are considered in this paper. Development of methods useful for determining prioritized agri-food goods in terms of government support, in the context of strengthened integration processes and limited financial resources. Following methods were used in this research: graphical, tabular, comparative, statistical, modeling, and analytical. Ways of combining and specialization of general methods were proposed, based on the assessment of existing methods, so they may be applicable for the peculiarities of agri-food sector. The results of this research may be applied by the state for a more effective distribution of government support of export and export-oriented production. This, in turn, will lead the state to a higher and more sustainable position in global agri-food market.
