Juggling with a concept, or reflection on public space in the context of the development of social capital

Summary/Abstract: The concept of public space has become extremely roomy and is used more often for rhetorical purposes than as an element of scientific argumentation. A similar phenomenon occurs in relation to the concept of social capital, which has become a social reality and began to function as a conceptual category used in the analysis of problems in almost all areas of life. But in this case, it is not an incorrect use of the concept, but a lack of consistent definition, resulting from the fact that it is a relatively new concept and still being researched - both in terms of sources and consequences of existence.
