Summary/Abstract: In 2000, Vilnius University Library bought a copy of Daniel Klein's (1609-1666) second grammar Compendium (1654). The last eight pages of the copy were published later than the copies obtained by the libraries of Chicago (Newberry), Oxford, St. Petersburg, Poznañ, Tübingen, Wolfenbüttel, and Wrocùaw. This is evidenced by the differences found, i.e. the accent was marked more precisely, proofreading mistakes were corrected, etc. The inscription on the title-page makes it certain that the last eight pages of the Vilnius copy were certainly republished before the year 1662. The republishing could have been initiated by Daniel Klein himself. He could have asked the publisher to correct the last pages which contained a considerable number of mistakes. The hypothesis that the printers' plate of the last sheet had to be reset due to inaccuracy (an accident) in the printing process is less likely. The holder/holders of the Compendium, which was bound together with Klein's Grammar (1653), must have known German and Latin. He/they made a number of minor handwritten corrections, according to the Corrigendum. Some insertions by a different kind indicate that he/they also knew some Lithuanian.
