Summary/Abstract: Utopia and theater are two terms related to the human imagination. In fact, said that imagination says creativity, unreality and otherness. At the dawn of humanity, man is born unfulfilled and always looking to improve his life. He became dreamy, or traveler. Dissatisfaction leads him to find a solution. Dip in his dreams, he draws cities, companies or islands where happiness and serenity ensure its euphoria. On entering his thoughts, he invented the theater for fun. On stage or on an island, the vacuum makes man sketching cities. Utopia and theater: an evasive idea to actual implementation, it is a utopian journey during which we have traced the birth of an abstract idea to its realization on stage. This trip is undertaken according to a new semiotic reading marivaudien theater by semiotic approach proposed by Anne Ubersfeld in his book “Reading Theatre” and the analysis of the typology of utopian thinking and according to categorization established by Karl Mannheim his book “Ideology and Utopia”.
