Summary/Abstract: Starting from several definitions of utopia, the paper explores different settings where drama enters the field of utopia and can be clearly labelled utopian. When a performance creates an entire new world inside reality, it can be easily said it has a utopian nature because of its new bound and defined rules. Even if these rules or the created universe is perfect, it still lacks an ideal benchmark with which to compare and judge itself. This way, it would be proper to say that the creators of a performance have a projection of the ideal performance (located in a utopian field) and try to export it into reality. Does a performance that describes a utopian universe overlap the concept of utopia or does it alienate from the concept because of the real nature of physical actions?
