Summary/Abstract: The EU freedom of movement of persons is identified with the essence of the European Union in both intuitive and legal terms. This freedom is a fundamental right of EU citizens in the objective scope Freedom of movement of EU citizens is in fact limited by the provisions of primary law and adopted within the framework of primary law – secondary legislation. Each EU member state has the ability to effectively limit the freedom on the grounds of public policy and security. This limitation has an increasing approval of European societies.
