PUBLICISTIC ARTICLES OF LEONID MARTYNOV ABOUT KAZAKHSTAN

Summary/Abstract: This article analyzes the synthesis of documentary and fiction in newspaper publications by the Russian poet of the first half of the 20th century Leonid Martynov about Kazakhstan. Travel essays and notes of the poet reflect the way of recognition of the Kazakhstani space by Russian community, in particular, in essays on the Turkestan–Siberia Railway opening, and also describe the state of a Kazakh woman in society. The articles under consideration represent an interesting synthesis of fiction and documentary.
