Summary/Abstract: The aim of the article is to provide a reader a few crucial questions concerning being a politician for a Catholic in the context of the social teaching of John Paul II. Different fields of science that deal with the study of human social behavior provide various definitions of politics, therefore, there is a need to familiarize the attitude of the Church in this area and discuss ways of calling to such an activity. By engaging in politics, a Catholic faces serious personal and social consequences. The main parts of the article discuss such consequences.
