Summary/Abstract: The article discusses the problem of linguistic creativity of the contemporary evangelist. In the first section, by referring to examples of linguistic research, the author explains the concept of Linguistic Picture of the World. The author indicates the differences in cognition, interpretation and terming the components of reality, which are result of the fact that the individual languages originate from different cultures and thus, from different experiences of a particular communities. In the next part of the article, the concept of the Linguistic Picture of the World is related to the Bible. In particular, it is emphasized that definite picture of reality can be perceived in the language of the Bible. This image has to be clarified to the congregation. Next, the author explains the notion of linguistic creativity in the context of preaching, and in the section entitled „Good Practices” she invokes concrete realizations taken, inter alia, from sermons, vlogs or Internet commentaries. In the summary, the author encourages evangelizers to use the wealth of linguistic means to attract the attention of the faithful and to familiarize them with the Word of God. What is more, she draws the reader’s attention to the fact that every statement of the evangelist is not only a way to establish relationships with the faithful, but also a testimony of his own vision of the world.
