Summary/Abstract: The article sets out to analyze the adjectives denoting a small degree of quality and having both the prefix pa- and the ending -ys in terms of their geographic distribution, accentuation, formation, as well as semantics. There are 67 entities of this type of in the electronic version of Lietuvių kalbos žodynas (Dictionary of the Lithuanian Language). The analysis of these derivatives has led to the conclusion that most frequently, they are used in the western Žemaitian subdialect, less often they occur in other Žemaitian subdialects, much less often they are used in the northern part of the Auk taitian dialect, and just a few of them were found in old writings. Most of these adjectives are monosemantic, belong to the 3b accent paradigm and are derived from base adjectives (a few of them are derived from nouns) adding the prefix pa- and changing any ending of a basic word to the ending -ys. In Lietuvių kalbos žodynas, the meaning of the adjectives of this category is most frequently explained by way of referencing whereas synonymic and descriptive definitions are less frequent. The majority of the adjectives analyzed are monosemantic and have the meaning of a base word.
