Summary/Abstract: The aim of this research was to identify and to describe the morphemic structure of Lithuanian verbs from the quantitative point of view. Quantitative analysis of the morphemic structure of Lithuanian verbs was not addressed by previous research. The investigation material consisted of all verb tokens (nearly 93 thousand) from the specially selected subset of Lithuanian language corpus. All verbs within this data set have been morphologically annotated, i.e. morphemes have been identified and their boundaries have been labeled. Verbs have been grouped into 116 categories according to their morphemic structure. Verbs were found to be composed from one to nine morphemes. However, the majority of verbs (89 percent) were composed from two to four morphemes.
