Summary/Abstract: This paper contains the first printed edition of Rastko Petrović’s poem „Iscelenje (skoro narodna)” [The Healing (almost a folk song)], from an autograph.According to the author’s dating, the poem was written in Paris, May of 1922. The autograph paper corresponds to the authentic autograph of Rastko Petrović’s collection Otkrovenje [Revelation], at present in the legacy papers of Marko Ristić in the Archives of the Serbian Academy of Sciences and Arts. On the basis of an analysis of the Otkrovenje manuscript, we establish the position of „Iscelenje” within the original version/redaction of the poetry collection; it was elided from the collection shortly before publication and replaced by the poems „Preinačenja” [Alterations]and „Zimski repertoar” [Winter Repertoire]. The preserved poem „Iscelenje” enables us to reconstruct an „apocryphal” pre-Revelation, containing a significantly different, vitalistically intoned ending. The poem’s subtitle – „almost a folk song”– is interpreted in the spirit of the avant-garde neo-primitivism. Other differences between the manuscript and the print version/redaction of Otkrovenje give rise to a discussion of various textological, orthographic, paratextual, receptional, compositional,thematic-motif and poetics-related questions that could be important for the understanding of Petrović’s collection and his early poetry in general.
