Summary/Abstract: Language point distinguished by the linguists as an integral unit of the populated locality structurally connected in a social network experienced major political, economic, social and cultural changes from the middle of the 20th to the beginning of 21st century. A review of language points in 2011–2013 provided an opportunity to reflect on factors of the development of points (decline or destruction of points) over the period of more than 70 years.
