Summary/Abstract: This article deals with new methods able to establish the change of initial projectile velocity, caused by barrel attrition within the artillery of the Army of the Czech Republic. After the evaluation of current situation with the use of the device for measuring the loading depth, this article recommends to implement the muzzle velocity sensor or to establish the change of initial projectile velocity, caused by barrel attrition, taking into account and using the clarifying correction.
