EUROPEAN UNION – POSSIBLE DEVELOPMENTS OVER THE NEXT DECADE

Summary/Abstract: The author briefly presents the landmarks of European Union history, the countries which have been promoting it and its most important leaders. Also, it outlines the main institutions of the European Union and the terms of reference of the European Parliament. It describes the ‘Schengen Space’ concept development and it reveals some current difficulties related to the migrants’ crisis. As everybody knows each human activity has its critics. Thus, chapter 7 provides the views expressed by Euro-sceptic people, the Euro-critics, which should be checked upon by the readers. Finally, the article brings to readers’ attention some aspects of possible developments of the organization in the coming years.
