Summary/Abstract: The family of disabled children crossing a crisis generated by divorce is in a higher psychosocial vulnerability position than typical family feature, vulnerability generated by the specific context of support and care of children with special needs. If for families with typical development and medium or high socio-professional level there is a relative awareness of the need for post-divorce psychological support, for families of this particular type the awareness is absent or very vague. This predisposes the child to failure in the long term. Psychological intervention must be carried out very subtle.
