Summary/Abstract: Danail Krapchev is one of the most talented Bulgarian publicists. In the years from 1944 to 1989 his work was prohibited and therefore – unknown. Still missing full research of his case. His journalistic work is characterized by professionalism, correct attitude to facts, ethics and patriotism. This article explores the first phase of his work. The period covers the years from 1906 to 1912, when Krapchev published his articles in five periodicals – one magazine and four newspapers.
