Migrations and Origin of the Population of the Sićevačka Gorge

Summary/Abstract: The settlements of Sićevačka gorge has been inhabited by Serbian population for many centuries. During that period geographic-historical and socio-economical conditions influenced the intensive migration of population. In this paper migrations and origin of the population will be presented based on examination of population originally inhabiting the area, population of unknown migrational origin and population group of immigrants, as well as redistribution and emigration of the inhabitants of Sićevačka gorge.
