Freedom of expression and security of state

Summary/Abstract: Modern societies, especially those from the Western hemisphere, strongly believe in the idea that freedom of expression, one of the most important human rights, has only positive effects. It is however worth to mention that in the Internet era the subject of this freedom has broaden and includes now almost every person capable of creating and publishing content. As a result, some political, economical or social actors start to take advantage of freedom of expression. Therefore, it is necessary to find out whether freedom of expression has only positive effects or whether it can pose a threat to the security of state.
