Summary/Abstract: The second in the series, this article continues the research of problems concerning the geostrategic situation of contemporary Islamic Republic of Iran. It is dedicated to the interaction of Iran’s geopolitical code with the most important contemporary global (US, Russia, China, principal EU states) and Middle Eastern centres of power. The article not only many-sidedly deals with peculiarities of Iran’s geopolitical configuration and its perspectives of becoming a regional or even global hegemon, but as well offers concrete insights allowing to assess objectively the local, regional and global context of dynamically changing geopolitical influences. The author also prompts to take a close look at geopolitical codes of principal actors of global politics precisely through the national interests of Iran and other states concerned, which reveals often ulterior motives of their actions in international arena.
