Summary/Abstract: Individuals with intellectual disabilities constitute a large part of the population inwhich significant disorders of linguistic communication are noted. In characterizing their communication capabilities, observable difficulties in forming long utterances are emphasised. This article discusses the possibility of using syntax saturation ratio, allowing for determination of the grammatical complexity degree of utterances, in descriptions of the linguistic skills of intellectually-disabled children.
