Summary/Abstract: This article presents the results of study on the stress and personality characteristics of military personnel (adaptive abilities (neuropsychic stability, moral normality, communicative abilities), personality accentuation and depressive state). In the ascertaining experiment, it was found that military personnel with a high level of stress have a low level of adaptive abilities (neuropsychic stability, moral normality, communicative abilities), a manifestation of personal accentuation and the presence of a depressive state. For young soldiers with low levels of stress, a high level of adaptive abilities (neuropsychic resistance, moral normality, communicative abilities), absence of personal accentuation and depressive states is characteristic.
