Summary/Abstract: The article presents the outline of the 100th birth anniversary celebrations of Karol Estreicher in the year 1927. Scientific and popular texts by Polish bibliologists, publicists and journalists published in the journals in the years 1927-1928 were analyzed. Particular attention was drawn to rare book publications by Jan Muszkowski and Ksawery Świerkowski, who were the researchers of bibliographer’s legacy. The vast majority of texts aimed to popu-larize the figure of K. Estreicher, scientific papers revealing facts about bibliographer’s life and his achievements were published occasionally
