Summary/Abstract: Ulderiko Donadini is the author of the first programmes and manifestos of the Croatian literary avant-garde. His introductory text published in the first edition of Kokot, titled Savremena umjetnost [Contemporary Art] at the height of the First World War is considered to be the first manifesto of Croatian expressionism. For this reason, the paper analyzes manifestos of Ulderiko Donadini in the context of the First World War.
