Summary/Abstract: The Paper attempts to analyze the obtaining situation of tribal people in India. It mainly addresses the issue in terms of its demographic, cultural, educational and ecological aspects. Significantly, the tribal people are not only getting marginalized in socio-economic terms, they are also undergoing a gradual dilution of their distinct identities.
