The versatility of the creative personality of V. Vinnichenkо, the literary heritage of the playwright

Summary/Abstract: The purposes of this paper are to review the literary work of V. Vynnychenko in detail, to analyse his ideas, conceptions, and creative experiments and to justify their impact on the development of the Ukrainian theatrical art of the XX century. Methodology. The methodology includes analytical, functional, diachronic, cultural, art review and system research methods that are used to explore the role of V. Vynnychenko as a playwriter who influenced the development of the Ukrainian theatrical art and left the creative heritage of modern ideas and experiments. Scientific Novelty. The scientific novelty of the research consists of the analysis of Vynnychenko’s conceptual experiments, his literary treasury and its value for young modern playwriters of Ukraine. Conclusions. Researched the problem, it’s possible to make the conclusion that over the whole period of Vynnychenko’s literary activity he received both positive and negative criticism. It proves the special talent of the artist. Moreover, the personality of Vynnychenko is very complex. The estimations of his work and political activity are often so controversial that it is difficult to find the truth. The positive or negative attitude to Vynnychenko’s work is often determined not by the literary piece, but by the personal perception of the author.
