Scientific communication: from open access to open science

Summary/Abstract: The goal – expanding the scope of the library’s communication activities to provide it, an addition to the storage and free distribution of publications, a full cycle of the circulation of new knowledge. The research methodology is based on a comprehensive analysis of the development of information communications in the digital environment using the principle of self-organization of the research and library spheres,and the system of science communication. The scientific novelty of the work is to identify the theoretical and methodological foundations for the development of the communicative functions of the library to organize its system-integration interaction with an open science. Conclusions. The vector of development of the scientific library should include the introduction integration of high-tech circuits forming the information base of open science to promote functional transformation of the library from an element of the scientific infrastructure to the participant of the research activities.
