Summary/Abstract: The article deals with to the implementation of practice-oriented methods of teaching the course «Information Analytics» to the students of the specialty 029 «Information, library and archival studies». It offers the thematic structure and content of the curriculum of the above-mentioned academic discipline. The purpose of the research is to justify the effectiveness of the implementation of practical exercises and the use of innovative forms of training while teaching «Information Analytics». According to the author, this approach realizes the task of social communication and shapes the competence of future specialists to manage information and use it rationally. The methodology of the study involves using structural-and-functional analysis, analysis of documentary information flows, study of primary documentation and information modeling. The indicated methodological set of tools allows analyzing and characterizing the process of teaching vocation-related subjects, and its influence on the development of professional competence of graduates in the specialty «Information, library and archival studies».The scientific novelty of the work is the developed and recommended structure of the curriculum of the course«Information Analytics». Conclusions. Implementation of practical ways of teaching into the educational process of specialists of socio-cultural sphere will contribute to the fact that, after graduation from higher educational institutions, graduates will have suiffcient techniques and methods of information analytics, will be able to apply them practically and will be ready to work in analytical centers, services and agencies.
