Summary/Abstract: The text focuses on a role which recognition, justice and democracy play in the era of global disputes and massmedia distortions. It deals with problems of misrecognition, injustice and democratic deficit mainly from European and Latin American perspectives, particularly from the points of view of Central Europe and Brazil. It points out the issues of social and political justice, extraterritorial recognition, participation in economic and political democracy, especially concerning international and transnational legal frameworks.
