Summary/Abstract: The researcher analyses the Art studies’ aspect of the Ukrainian- European critical thought system in the context of the scientific heritage of Mykola Voronyi. Methodology. The author uses such methods as analytical (to study the art critical and cultural resources for the formation of methodology of the research), art critical (to analyze Voronyi’s heritage), search (to find the materials) and theoretical (to systematize the information and to form the conclusions). Scientific Novelty. The author is first who analyses the Art studies’ aspect of the Ukrainian-European critical thought system. Corresponding to these issues the author tries to prove the fact that the Fine Art of the beginning of XX century had rather polemical-provocative thoughts, even for today science. Unfortunately, the absence of pluralism concerning the issue of the Ukrainian- European art of the beginning of XX century is the manifestation of the quasifundamental position of the practice of Cultural studies. Conclusions. The analysis of Voronyi’s critical thoughts proves his polemical attitude to the Fine art of that period at the beginning of the XX century. Its development is characterized by the synthesis of the retrograde and progressive tendencies. Analyzing the fine art, Voronyi underlines the importance of the humanism and human kindness in the art.
