Summary/Abstract: The purpose of the article is to highlight the artistic techniques «double coding» in the synthesis of the arts. Methodology. The methodology of the study is to apply a systematic approach that allows you to identify the features of the use of artistic methods of «double coding» in the synthesis of the arts. Scientific Novelty. The scientific novelty of this work is presented the study of artistic techniques «double coding» in the synthesis of the arts. Experience of past culture in the form of mythological, sacred, folk-codes of images and citations, allusions and reminiscences are widely used in the art of Postmodernism. Advertising appeal of modern works is associated with the use of well-known names in the artistic practice (Shakespeare, Orpheus, Eurydice, etc.). Citations, allusions, reminiscences as the artistic techniques of «double coding» through semantic function and means of transformation of the code-symbols and their inclusion in the system of intertextuality create conditions for dual decoding of content works. Conclusions. The synthesis of the arts in Postmodernism is often characterized by the eclectic mix of art and mosaic imagery, represents a wide palette of artistic codes in their dialogues. Disclaimer from the classical canon has led to the fact that artistic expression is supplemented by conventional signs in the form of symbols and code words, fragmentation and uncertainty of post-modern text is cemented in a holistic action.
