Summary/Abstract: The article deals with the notion of Christian way of being or life in itself, which stems from certain doctrinal commitments. Hence the analysis of the uniqueness Christian issues on self, world and behaviour must be approached not only from the ethical point of view but also from the epistemological one, which in turn is incarnated in such analogies as „spiritual adoption“ or “the gifts of the Holy Spirit“. Such perspective enables to conflate metaphysical doctrine of the divine grace with ethical theory concerning theological virtues as the dispositions of the human flourishing. The conceptual horizon for the problems discussed constitutes the critical dialogue with Tomas Aquinas, who presented not only insightful metaanalysis concerning divine grace and theological virtues, but also articulated the need and method for the true inner transformation, which constitutes the Christian way of being. This in turn reveals the Christian way of life as the dialectics between faith in Jesus Christ and associated cognitive outlooks and moral habits. At the end part of the article the specifics of the Christian version of life ones again is evaluated in comparison with classical philosophical schools.
