Summary/Abstract: The article inquires the graphic arts of Žibuntas Mikšys (born 1923 in Kaunas), famous artist of Lithuanian exile. It focuses attention on the beginnings and principles of his creative work; on his welt outlook, aesthetic ideas, and originality of his artistic language, which caused the examination of external and internal factors. It spotlights the influence of Paris and of French cultural life in general on the artistic development of Žibuntas, especially on his artistic imagination and the world of pure formal structures of his artistic works.
