Summary/Abstract: European security environment at the end of the first decade of the XXI century has been very dynamic. From the perspective of more than ten years of the EU’s common security and defense policy, we can find that is not working as it should. The European Union has still not materialized for the construction of real Common Security and Defence Policy. Signed November 2, 2010, the bilateral Franco-British defence agreement fit into the context of new European security architec-ture. Is this a positive step in the development ofa common European defense policy? And if so, under what conditions can be fulfilled?
