Summary/Abstract: This paper analyzes the concept of political religion from the theoretical perspectives of authors such as Giorgio Agamben, Michel Foucault, Hannah Arendt, Eric Voegelin, Carl Schmitt etc. Author claims that religion in its secular-profane form is a substitute for the social relations. When the solid structure of the traditional orders of authority and rule is fading away, the substitute structure arises. Religion should not be seen only as a return to faith in its original form of transcendence. It is more about the political foundation of culture as a hybrid substratum of race and education.
